Last updated: August 24, 2026
This policy explains how City of Faith Church International (“the Church,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information on this website and in related ministry tools. It is written for our congregation and website visitors. It is not legal advice. We may update it from time to time. Rules for using the site are in our Terms & Conditions.

2. Information we collect
We collect information you choose to share and information created when you use our site or ministry platforms.
Information you provide
- Contact and prayer forms (name, email, phone, and message)
- Plan-a-visit or event interest details
- Ministry, children’s, youth, or volunteer sign-up information
- Giving records when you give online or in person through Church Center or other processors we use
- Messages sent by email, phone, or social media
Information collected automatically
- Basic device and browser information, pages viewed, and referring links
- Cookies or similar storage needed for the site to function (for example, navigation)
- Embedded content from partners such as YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, or Church Center, which may set their own cookies under their policies
You do not need an account to browse most of this website. Church Center and similar tools may ask you to create an account for giving, event registration, or check-in.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Respond to questions, prayer requests, and visit plans
- Provide pastoral care and connect people with the right ministry
- Operate worship services, events, classes, and outreach
- Process gifts, issue acknowledgements, and keep records needed for ministry and tax reporting
- Share church news, service times, and invitations you have asked to receive
- Improve the website, protect it from abuse, and keep our community safe
We do not sell personal information. We do not rent our congregation list to outside marketers.
4. Prayer requests and pastoral care
Prayer requests and personal messages are treated with care. They are shared only with pastoral staff or ministry volunteers who need them in order to pray, follow up, or provide care. We do not post prayer requests publicly unless you clearly ask us to. If a message suggests that someone may be in danger, we may share information with appropriate leaders or authorities as needed to seek help.
5. Giving and third-party processors
Online giving is handled through Church Center and related payment processors. When you give, those companies collect and process payment details under their own terms and privacy policies. The Church may receive donor name, contact information, gift amount, fund, and related records so we can thank you, steward funds, and provide giving statements. We do not store full card numbers on this website.
6. Photos, video, and livestreams
Worship services, special events, and outreach are often photographed, recorded, or livestreamed so our church family can worship together and so guests can see what a Sunday looks like. By attending a public service or event, you understand that you may appear in crowd photos, video, or a livestream.
If you do not want an identifiable photo or clip used in promotional materials, please contact us. We will make a reasonable effort to honor that request going forward. Extra care is taken with photos of children used in publicity; we seek appropriate parent or guardian permission before featuring a child by name or in a close-up promotional image.
7. Children’s privacy
This website is intended for a general audience, including families. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13 without a parent or guardian. Children’s ministry check-in, classes, and events may collect information needed for safety, pickup, allergies, and pastoral care, typically through a parent or guardian and often via Church Center. Parents may contact us to review or update a child’s information.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
Our site uses limited cookies or local storage so pages work as expected. Third-party embeds (such as YouTube sermons or recaps, Instagram, Facebook, Google Fonts, and Church Center) may use cookies or collect usage data according to those companies’ policies. You can control cookies in your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect video, fonts, or giving tools.
9. How we share information
We share information only as needed to serve the Church and as described here:
- Ministry team: pastors, staff, and trained volunteers with a reason to know
- Service providers: hosting, email, Church Center / Planning Center, payment processors, and similar tools that process data on our behalf
- Legal and safety: when required by law, or to protect people, the Church, or others from harm
- With your direction: for example, if you ask us to introduce you to a ministry leader
10. Third-party websites and social media
Our site links to or embeds services we do not control, including Church Center, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Google Fonts. Those services have their own privacy practices. Please read their policies before sharing information there. This policy does not cover those third-party sites.
11. How long we keep information
We keep information as long as it is needed for ministry, pastoral care, giving records, legal obligations, or legitimate church operations. Prayer and contact messages may be retained so our team can follow up. Giving records are kept for the period required for financial and tax purposes. When information is no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it.
12. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate for a church website and ministry operations. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Please use care when sending sensitive information by email or a web form.
13. Your choices and rights
You may:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information
- Ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep
- Opt out of optional church emails or texts where those tools allow
- Ask us about identifiable photos or video used in publicity
To make a request, email greaterfaithspringfield@gmail.com or use our Contact page. We may need to verify that the request is from you. We may decline a request when we must keep records for giving, safety, legal, or essential ministry reasons. Residents of certain states may have additional privacy rights under applicable law; we will consider those requests in good faith.
14. Visitors from other places
Our church and this website are operated from Tennessee in the United States. If you visit from another country, you understand that information may be processed in the United States, where privacy laws may differ from those where you live.
15. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as our ministries, tools, or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the website after an update means you have had notice of the revised policy.
